When Little Busy BOY turning to Little Busy MAN

"BLINK" "BLINK" Where did the time go? 3 years have flown by and he just in my belly....my dear Deen turned 3 last Monday, 6 December 2010.

Our planned was to celebrate during THIS weekend but Papa will be away to Kelantan on Friday till Sunday ... then i've decided to do it on Tuesday!...Really last minute...what to cook? and who'll be coming...has not been decided yet! HELPPPPP!....only me and my kids......we help each other to prepare everything ...mwahahahahha huish...can't believe it....

Anyway thanks to those who supported the last minute party 'Ucu Chiti' , Mak Nek and MaChique, ooohhh they always there whenever i plan event for my kids! love u! tidak lupa pada papa juga...jejak je kaki kat pintu dah kena suruh bukak meja....huhuhu thanks pa! i know it's tiring...

the party started at 5.30 pm...but i have to shop some groceries for the menu... ...i started with the cleaning activities at 9.30 am i.e. sweeping and mopping the floor, washing and drying the laundry.....and more and more...and completed at 12.30 pm.....then i started the car.....vrooooommmmmm to the Giant .... i only have few hours to grab some groceries and a cake! what cake? the birthday boy wanted a Thomas Cake...where should i find it...during this time? then we try to find it in SecretRecipes..but they do have the design...but have to make a booking earlier....i knew that!....then we went to Baker's Cottage...unfortunate....really unfortunate...also have to make a booking earlier...then i talked to the birthday boy slowly...'they didn't do a Thomas cake ...but you can only choose any cake in the fridge'...lega....at last he chosen 'Cheese Cake with Strawberry on top!' (it's because of the strawberry okay..)... we completed the shopping at 2pm.... and i only have 3 hours ++ to get everything done! Ouhhh talking about the menu...it was very simple:

• Spiral Pasta with Tuna
  
• Oglio Spaghetti with Prawn and Mushroom
• Chicken & Mushroom Soup + French Loaf
• Spaghetti with Seafood Creme Sauce
• Nugget & Sausage
• And Kuih Sagoo for the desert......

Senang kan...goreng jek semua...except Nugget, Sausage and Kuih Sagoo prepared by my mom! the rest ... of course me lah cooked everything...hehhe Sedap semuanya! (angkat bakul nampak)......licin....


At the age of 3 he's now can:

• He's now can pedal a tricycle which I bougth on his 2nd birthday and also a bicycle that belongs to Zahraa . He's good actually, he can pedal both at the age of 2...which i think
  

• Able to dress himself! But buttoning and undress a shirt is still a challenge.....zipping is likely much more easier. hooraaa!
  

• Walking up stairs with alternating feet...sometimes without holding the rail...brave little man!

• Kicking a ball, he can sharply kick to the wall ....kicking an empty bottle..this one he did whenever he finds an empty bottle.....hahahha

• The most important thing is...he can control over his 'poo poo' and 'pee' pee' during daytime.... :) but still wearing diapers during nighttime to avoid bedwetting.....
  

• He can draw a line and circle...should i call it circle? hrmmm quite funny circle lah...but i know it's circle....and he is left handed.....people say "left handed children are more likely to test out as highly creative and to have extremely high verbal or math ability--both of which are considered to be predominantly left-brain functions." oooo sebab tu lah die becok...heheh..yes he has a vocabulary of many hundreds of words ... haha

Why pediatric HKL?

Why i preferred HKL? susah nak ckp.....mmg certain people yg ingat pergi govt hospital utk golongan yg berpendapatan rendah sahaja....tp pada i bukan tak mampu nak ke swasta, wpun in my previous company covered for kids hospitalization but i'm still preferred to HKL, i don't know why maybe i've been there before, when my 3rd brother diagnosed leukemia, i dah comfortable dah kat pediatric HKL. Lagipun I prefers to spend my kids to education insurance rather than health insurance. Let's go back to the HKL thing. For me HKL is not bad as some people think. In my opinion, their service has improved, and also they got specialist yg dah berkhidmat bertahun....kekadang tuh byk penyakit yg tak boleh diubati di swasta akan dihantar ke HKL sbb pakar byk kat sana and other reasons also:

1. The service (before admission) - If your child getting fever and not recover for about 3 days after took some medication and antibiotics, they will immediately do the blood test and it only took :
5-15 minutes - registration
5-15 minutes - consultation by the doctor
5-15 minutes - blood test
5-15 minutes - to meet the doctor again to confirm the disease from the blood test
within 30-45 minutes doctor will decide whether you'll be an outpatient or need to see
pediatrician. not bad kan.......rather than you see doctor give medicine and come back, and
then give again ubat and come back again but by that time the disease has spreaded over. i always bare in mind on the 1st day of fever, if my kids getting high fever, i always give them paracetamol and start sponging their body to lower down the temperature. but if the fever still on and off within 3 days, i will bring them to HKL.

2. The doctor / pediatrician (when admitted) - their visiting hours are:
Morning - 9 am : doctor and pediatrician
Noon - 12 noon : doctor
Evening - 4pm : doctor and pediatrician
Night - 8 pm : doctor
Within those visiting time you will be interviewed by the doctor and pediatrician to check
your kids history esp how did they get their fever. from that you will learn and will have 2
way communication between you and the doctor. and also when they discussing among them
you will know how to treat your child during sick so that next time you will know what to do.
(actually they also consult mother what to do.)

3. Their equipment / facilities: they will provide one bed for mother and one baby court for
kid. even their bed quite old fashioned one but it still comfortable. Anyway you still can sleep
tightly because it is air conditioned ward hahahha gurau je..actually i dont think we can sleep
tight when our child is sick. of course you will awake in the middle of the nite hahahha. but
for me It's still worth it. what i prefer is the consultation by the doctor not the facilities. if you
prefers facilities i think you should go to the hotel...hahahhahah. most of pediatric ward will
provide 6 bed for mother and child, and one bathroom to be shared among mothers. heeheh
okay lah tuh. actually ada gak bilik 2 katil untuk anak and ibu tp itu special case which
special treatment needed for serious illness. But for me i still can take it. Medical Equipment
also for me are up to date....kira tak ketinggalan ke belakang lah...kerajaan dah sayang rakyat
dah....heheh berbau politik lah pulak. For me buat apa masuk kat hospital berbayar tetapi
pada masa sama risau dengan bill dan anak yg sakit sembuh ker tidak. Kalau HKL, you tak
risau sangat, pasal bill dier serendah RM 4.50 satu hari.....aku mase memula mcm malu jek
nak bayar..heheh tp kalau treatment kat klinik swasta kena kuarkan RM45, pastu belum
tentu sembuh and datang lagi biler nak jumpa pakar pon tak tau... and kena datang lagi. Lagi
satu aku nursery die pon not bad gak....okay lah kalau nak hilangkan derita anak demam.

5. The Food: saper kater lauk hospital sedap....kalau tak sedap you still have a choice to buy
outside...anak you sure nyer takder selera hehehhe......yg nak bedal you all kan....so you dah
tak yah risau...dah
Breakfast: Boiled Egg and 2 slices of bread, 1 cup of milo: hehehh pssttt roti die mmg keras tp
cicah ngan air milo lembut lah...
Lunch: Nasi putih / Nasi minyak + ikan/ayam/ daging + sayur + buah, 1 cup of plain water.
Tea Break: 1 bun or 1 slice of cake, 1 milo
Dinner: Nasi putih / Nasi minyak + ikan/ayam/daging + sayur + buah, 1 cup of plain water
Tp kalau tak berkenan ngan lauk tu u still can choose to buy at outside or canteen.....

Aku nak citer pasal demam

Mase nih suhu die tinggi nih 38.5 tido jek dier.....gambo nih smlm nyer citer.....


ha ini gambo Deen yg demam aritu masa travel dari Johor ke KL

Biler anak kita demam mesti hati kita resah kan. Wpun pada sesetengah org berpendapat "ala anak demam jek" tp pada aku demam adalah perkara yg tidak boleh dipandang RINGAN. Demam adalah petunjuk atau punca kepada penyakit serious jika tidak dijaga dengan betul.

Kes 1 (Low Fever): Ini adalah pengalaman aku sendiri, adik aku pernah demam biasa jek takder lah tinggi suhu dier siap boleh tido rumah cousin aku lagi mase tuh aku ingat lagi. Tp yg pelik biler makan die muntah kitorang mmg pelik demam tak tinggi tp muntah muntah. apabila die sudah mula muntah2 parents pergi semula ke klinik utk rawatan dan blood test. sbb demam dier tak baik baik adalah dekat seminggu. alangkah terkejutnya kami sekeluarga rupernye die menghidap LEUKEMIA atau KANSER DARAH. Mmg amatlah sedih dan gundah gulana kami sekeluarga. Sejak dari itu hidup kami berubah. HKL (pediatric) telah menjadi rumah ke2 kami sekeluarga. Alhamdulillah, kini die sudah 17 thn, umurnyer masih panjang. Allah mendengar doa kami sekeluarga agar die pulih.
Kes 2 (high Fever): Ini adalah pengalaman x-officemate aku sendiri. Anaknyer demam juga tetapi kerana body temperature terlalu tinggi, anaknya diserang SAWAN atau FITS. Anaknyer ketika itu sekolah rendah tak ingat umurnyer berapa ketika itu. Pada malam itu die bergegas ke hospital dgn berbaju kelawar or kaftan sahaja ke Ampang Putri. Punyalah panik sehingga tidak sedar apa yang dipakai. Alhamdulillah, anaknya juga sihat sehingga sekarang dan mereka menetap di Paris kini.

Sejak pada itu, aku mmg cukup berhati hati. Kalau anak aku demam aku akan risau. Mmg tidak boleh focus esp kerja. Mcm mcm bermain di fikiran aku. Aku mmg akan monitor turun naik suhu dier setiap 1-2 jam aku akan catit turun naik suhu dier dan ubat apa yg die makan. Aku akan pastikan kalau suhu dier melebihi 38 celcius aku dah standby ubat cucuk punggung dan terus aku mandikan dan sponge badan dier sampai kuyup. Kenapa tak pakai cool fever? hrmm pada aku benda tu adalah bisnes...lagi senang kalau kita lap badan diorang pakai kain yg basah lagi cepat turun suhu dier. Lagi satu mak aku kater, kalau badan budak panas basah kan kepala dorang ngan air daun bunga raya putih atau air asam jawa. mmg melalak lah anak nko tuh tp insyaallah berkesan. Kalau korang perasan bile suhu badan meningkat 38.5 celcius hujung jari kaki dan tangan anak akan sejuk dan mungkin menggigil (pada sesetengah budak). nak tau kenapa? sebab darah di dlm bdan itu bekerja utk melawan virus so darah tuh tak pergi sampai ke hujung2 jari dan telapak tangan akan menjadi putih pucat.

Lagi satu cakap pasal antibiotik diberi. Aku tak pernah nengok org allergic dengan antibiotik first time kena kat anak aku si Deen. Mmg kurus kering anak aku cirit birit....dalam satu hari adalah dekat 7 kali die diarhea...adoi. Mase tuh die baru kuar hospital, selepas 2 hari die ambil antibiotik tuh terus die cirit selama 3 hari. Aku jumpa doctor dier kater anak aku diarhea padahal anak aku baru kuar hospital dan takder pulak die makan apa apa. Biler aku refer ngan my friend dier kater cuba stopkan antibiotik, biler aku stopped the antibiotic tuh, then aku start ngan ORS (air garam yg tak sedap tuh kan tp aku campur ngan ribena pasal ribena kan ada rase masam masam masin...so tak pasan sgt..ha itu tips tuh utk anak yg kena cirit birit..ehehhe) doctor mesti bagi ORS tuh utk pulihkan balik apa yg dah hilang dalam badan akibat ciritbirit.

Bebaru ni pulak, die demam mengejut, suhu dier 38.7 celcius aritu. aku mmg dah pesan ngan babysitter kalau die demam mandikan kan dier..aku sampai jek rumah babysitter aku nengok anak aku dah kuyup. Terus aku bawak gi clinic. Doctor kater viral fever. Doctor kater budak yg kerap kena demam nih sbb body sedang bekerja utk fight the virus. so aku terpaksa EL 2 hari utk monitor anak aku itu. Selepas 6 jam die makan ubat, bdn die akan start menggigil, lagi lah kalu aku sapu air atau sponge badan dier...mmmg meradang lah member kan...tp aku tak pedulik yg penting anak aku sihat suhu badan turun. Tp yg aku kesian biler aku cucuk punggung dier, mesti die jerit "mama sakitnyer....." abis tu nak buat cemana takder pilihan sebab suhu die naik sampai 38.7 celcius. Alhamdulillah, skang nih badan dah nak 'kebah' dari demam dah nak sihat dah ler. Harap lepas nih die sihat sepenuhnyer. Sebab bulan Febuary aritu die demam, bulan march pulak die demam lagi....tiap tiap bulan aku amek EL. Aku kalau bab anak sakit aku takkan jadikan alasan untuk amek cuti...pada aku ia seperti doa. Ada sesetengah org sanggup buat mcm tuh.

Kesimpulannyer, please give a good care when your children get fever no matter if its low or high. At least, kita satisfy apa2 jadi lepas tuh kita dah buat sehabis baik.

Ghazi has 10 months old!

Happy 10 months old Busy Boy!

Blink! Blink! He's 10 months old last week on 6th October. Times flies so fast! Another 2 months to go... Let's check out his 10 months old facts:

1. Just got his first teeth! Only one okay....

Look at his smile...showing his teeth! Really loves his smile!

2. He's starting to walk (with supporting)

3. Actively crawling and climbing......(penat tau nak kejar die)

He's trying to climb the cot! I tell you he did it! He can step up on the side of the cot. But I didn't capture the scene. I was shocked and it was so fast!

4. Still takes 2-3 naps a day

shhhhh.....he is sleeping...zzzzzzz.......

5. Still eats grounded food.

This is macaroni + potatoes + carrot + spinach + chicken....he likes it!

6. Still puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!

7. He can drink using straw and cup. ( He likes it very much).

8. Still breastfeeding and drink 6oz of formula milk at a time!

9. Loves to play with her sister, Zahraa.

Looks like Zahraa more excited than Ghazi!
